Any documents for how to build the shib idp from the source code and how to run and debug the idp?

Hi,

We are trying to embed the Shibboleth IdP into our product. I need to
closely read into the source code to really understand how is everything
working under the hood. The best way is to run an IdP based on the source
code and debug the requests.

I have synced all the related code from SVN.

Can anybody tell me what should I do in order to deploy the source code on
Tomcat so that I can debug the code? or in other words what do you usually
do?

I am using Eclipse + Tomcat plugin.

Another question is, in case I changed any source code, how should I run
the maven to rebuild the whole Shibboleth IdP project?

If possible any documents?
