SVN Server Upgrade

I am currently planning to upgrade the Subversion server from 1.6 to
1.7 some time in the near future (exact date will be announced later
via the announce list).
For those that don't follow the development of SVN, version 1.7 brings
a new server protocol that is significantly more efficient than the
previous WebDAV-based protocol. The server continues to support the
old protocol however so clients need not be upgraded when the server
is upgraded.
SVN 1.7 clients support both the new protocol and old WebDAV protocol.
However, they now use a new working copy layout and metadata format
that is incompatible with previous versions of the client. You must
either run the 'svn upgrade' command on the repository or just delete
it and check it out with the new client. If you're an Eclipse user
you'll need to make sure you have the proper SVNKit version installed:
SVNKit 1.3.x is the SVN 1.6 and below, SVNKit 1.7.x is for SVN 1.7.
SVNKit is installed via plugin installer (Help -> Install New
Software) from the Polarion update site. You can have both versions
installed at one time but must choose which one to use in the
Preferences -> Team -> SVN -> SVN Connector window.
So, what this means for people. The server can be upgraded
independently of your client. The client can be upgraded
independently of the server. To take advantage of the new protocol
(and thus faster checkouts), you'll need to upgrade your client.
