Okay. I really just am trying to understand other people's mental
filtering process. A great deal of this is highly subjective since
it's rarely possible to get all the data one would need in order to
make a truly informed decision.

Yeah, most people who work with the Shib products don't actually have
to sign up anywhere because they're already associated with an
organization that's in that big drop down list. But obviously not
everyone is and this whole discussion has really been about one of the
main pain points with the federated identity model. So, in the hopes
of improving things, we trying to collect additional data about
people's perceptions when we can.
