How to retrieve SP required attributes at the IDP before authentication

At the moment I don’t have the time to alter or implement the SAML messages and implementation of Shibboleth in order to support single round trip. I’ll have to use the metadata I’m afraid. If someone has some more documentation about this topic, I’d like to receive it.
