That sounds like it should be an explanation of some sorts?
("Oh, you're from Australia, so /obviously/ you can't log in")

I'm an Aussie too (as in "Austria") so if I can log in you can too ;)

Maybe you can get the bug tracker (and the wiki) into the Australien
Access Federation or at least convince someone at your university to
enable access bilaterally. Chances are you (or someone else) will need
it again at some point.
