There is no supported code in the IdP, just some old, unsupported work.

The project roadmap is in the wiki. Nobody has offered to assist in building anything to add additional resources, and the 3.0 and 2.5 work plans do not include any OpenID or OpenID Connect work. OpenID Connect itself, which isn't done, is a massive set of specs that is no simpler than SAML to implement properly, so the scope of that work is much larger than (some) people think.
