I agree, but your campus may be the exception rather than the rule. In
any case, your comments only go to show there is no "one size fits
all" with respect to login. The Unicon login page (did you look at
it?), suitably tweaked and generalized, would be a useful addition to
the login templates that ship with the Shib IdP.
