Can you give me a quick cookbook, for producing a stack trace ?
I'm using CentOS 5.x systems; I usually install using YUM and RPMs. I
see that the Shib repository contains -devel and -debuginfo versions of
all the libraries. Which should I use ? Should I install one of those
"families" by hand, using rpm ? Is there a way to use YUM to install an
entire family ?
Once I have that version installed, I should run shibd under gdb ? eg
gdb /usr/sbin/shibd -p /var/run/shibboleth/shibd.pid -f -w 30
and then attach the output to an entry in jira ?

Its available on the Shib contributions page:
https://wiki.shibboleth.net/confluence/display/SHIB2/Contributions
under "Other, Related, Contributions". I'm using "simple bash ECP
client". On my CentOS 5 systems, I had to comment out lines 48-53. The
script won't run to completion with those lines removed. But, inthis
situation it encounters the shibd problem long before actually using the
variables that are set in those lines.
