OpenXACML Status

openxacml.org was a domain that Internet2 purchased quite a number of
years ago when there was thought that they might develop XACML-based
software in some capacity. That never happened.

Years later when I was working for the Swiss NREN, SWITCH, they did
contribute XACMLv2 message parsing and generation code back to the
OpenSAML library. A set of functionality roughly equivalent to the SAML
generation/parsing logic that already existing in the library. That was
integrated in to the OpenSAML library and remains intact today.

That's where things currently stand. We, the Shibboleth Consortium, the
location where the OpenSAML and Shibboleth products are actively
maintained, do not have any XACML-based services (e.g., a PDP) nor plans
to develop any. Questions regarding an evaluation engine have shown up
on the list from time to time but not with enough regularity (and never
with any financial support) to make us reconsider the aforementioned
decision.
