idp build problems

Sorry, I meant to respond when Paul asked about this but got
sidetracked then forgot.

It is part of the Eclipse 3.7 migration,  The Maven plugin for Eclipse
has issues with some all but a few basic maven plugins.  In order to
deal with this issue I moved quite a few plugins from the default
built profile to the "release" build profile.

So, to build now you should do 'mvn -P release package'.  I've updated
the documentation to reflect this.
