Just some more data points: I'll note that in RHEL 5 they also recently
starting offering a 'php53' set of packages for PHP 5.3, in addition to
the 'php' set (which is PHP 5.1).  They also seem to have actually
bumped the version of the subversion package from 1.4.* to 1.6.*, which
I was a little surprised to see so late in the release cycle.

Perhaps they are becoming a little less conservative in what they are
willing to introduce in the middle of a RHEL cycle...?
