AFAICT RHEL 5 did not have the java-*-gcj packages (i.e., no JRE - only
the GCJ compiler stuff). OpenJDK was introduced with 5.3, but as an
additional/new package.

RHEL 6, BTW, provides both java-1.5.0-gcj and java-1.6.0-openjdk.
