I didn’t quite get where I wanted to go with this patch. It was too difficult to tie the LDAP server to the spring lifecycle and continue to support the myriad of ways tests can be executed. (A single test, some tests, all tests, etc)</p><p style="margin: 10px 0 0">I decided to use a static instance of an InMemoryDirectory. This alone won’t prevent connection errors in the logs since the test framework still runs @After before the spring context is finished closing. However, by changing InMemoryDirectory#stop so that it doesn’t close existing connections, those errors no longer occur.</p><p style="margin: 10px 0 0">Leaving this issue open to see if more work is required.</p></td>
