<td class="text-paragraph-pattern-container mobile-resize-text " style="padding: 0px; border-collapse: collapse; padding: 0 0 10px 0"> <p style="margin: 10px 0 0 0; margin-top: 0">For the record, I have tracked down the "duplicates being dropped thing" It all boils down to whether the context is present at the parse point and if so whether it is being shared amongst elements which have the same id.</p> <p style="margin: 10px 0 0 0">The precise code is inside {{org.springframework.beans.factory.support.DefaultListableBeanFactory#registerBeanDefinition(String, BeanDefinition) }} which is where duplicate are actually detected and filtered (with logging if you happen to have that class turned to debug)</p> <p style="margin: 10px 0 0 0">Our use of contexts, be they shared or otherwise is very very case specific particularly within the custom parsers so explaining exactly what will provoke this is hard. </p> <p style="margin: 10px 0 0 0">If we cared (and for V5) we could flip the <tt>DefaultListableBeanFactory#setAllowBeanDefinitionOverriding</tt> inside our contexts (in spring support) for a system wide "fix". But its a huge hammer, certainly not for V4.1 - something to look at when one has a free week - also and as mentioned above inside the custom parsers we don't use the SpringSupport contexts (b/c we don't need to).</p> <p style="margin: 10px 0 0 0">Do we want a case added for this work out more about this? This might involve flipping the setting and fire up the test harness and seeing what happens.</p> <p style="margin: 10px 0 0 0">As for this case, I'll do some more test clean up and push the fix since I now know why it is so weird.</p> </td>
