We have had issues with EC in the past, but our normal use case happens to be pure RSA so it hasn't been a priority. There is also <a href="https://issues.shibboleth.net/jira/browse/XSTJ-58" title="include KeyValue in ECDSA signatures" class="issue-link" data-issue-key="XSTJ-58" style="color: #3b73af; text-decoration: none">XSTJ-58</a>, and I suppose it's possible that's your issue. But there are a lot of other candidates, such as the XML DSIG library we are using.</p> <p style="margin: 10px 0 0 0">You could do a couple of things to help isolate the issue:</p>
<ul>
<li>Run the verification step using <tt>--verbose</tt> and attach the output.</li>
<li>Drop in a list of the commands you used to build the key and certificate.</li>
<li>Maybe if you can, try the same thing with an RSA credential rather than an EC one and verify that it works.</li>
<li>Try using Amazon Corretto 8 rather than the Oracle one, just to isolate the crypto provider as a cause (Java 8 has been historically flaky for EC)</li>
<li>Try using Java 11 (preferably Corretto 11). That has problems with PKCS#11, but I think it should be fine for this.</li>
