Property resolution can't be deferred so it has to have a value. That's the only property that was left without a default.</p> <p style="margin: 10px 0 0 0">I also marked the LDAP authenticator bean as lazy-init, but that's just for hygiene, it doesn't seem to connect on its own when LDAP isn't in use, but it's still more consistent with the other beans using it.</p> <p style="margin: 10px 0 0 0">The other issue that created a problem was actually leaving the LDAPValidator enabled but that's clearly not fixable, it's going to break somewhere. I already moved the new beans up to the top of the file to make them more prominent.</p> <p style="margin: 10px 0 0 0">I don't think (proper) upgrades are implicated with this at all.</p> </td>
