We split it up this way so our local metadata config file can be built automatically by an ansible deployment script based on a folder containing the source metadata files.</p> <p style="margin: 10px 0 0 0">At this stage, I'm reluctant to change how our deployment works, but we will be more aware of the implications and try to reduce the number of times we roll-out new metadata. The only concern is overlapping remote metadata providers all trying to write to the same backing file, but this should only cause issues if the remote URL changes (and I don't think we've ever made a change like that). Our hosts are also rebooted once a month, so it shouldn't get too out of control.</p> <p style="margin: 10px 0 0 0">Also, is it possible to get in touch with someone on the Shib team directly to inform you guys of a verified memory leak with the IdP that is remotely triggerable? I don't want to create a public issue for it because of potential misuse. The vulnerability is only possible with certain config options enabled so it won't affect all installations (I'd say a vast majority would be unaffected).</p> </td>
