</div> <p style="margin: 10px 0 0 0">I suspect that's just an out-of-date dependency; I know we haven't seen it just from Maven in our own usage.</p> <p style="margin: 10px 0 0 0">I ran tests using Maven on the whole Java 11 stack with no problems, until I got to <tt>java-idp-integration-tests</tt>. Those don't work in general. If you run some simple individual tests (e.g., `StatusTest`) things proceed as expected but running the whole suite fails, with many of the individual tests failing to contact the IdP instance that is being spun up.</p> <p style="margin: 10px 0 0 0">This also happens if you run one of the tests with many test methods: the behaviour seems to be that the first few methods succeed, and then after some specific point all subsequent methods fail in this way.</p> <p style="margin: 10px 0 0 0">This doesn't seem to be reliable: running the same test again fails a different subset of tests.</p> <p style="margin: 10px 0 0 0">Running an identically resourced RHEL 8 system, with the RH OpenJDK and the Maven 3.5.0 they provide, worked first time.</p> <p style="margin: 10px 0 0 0">It seems unlikely to me that it's the kernel at fault here, that probably leaves the issue as being either the OpenJDK being bad, or the test environment as represented by Maven. Next steps will be to swap out those two components to see which (if either) causes the tests to start working. If it's the OpenJDK, that would be a big problem; if they just have a buggy version of Maven, though, not so much.</p> </td>
