After a chat with Scott, I have determined that the least bad approach is (at least for now) to define dummy <em>but real</em> version numbers for the three Shibboleth components in the parent POM, so that there will be real Javadoc trees at the implied locations in Nexus.</p> <p style="margin: 10px 0 0 0">This <em>will break</em> when any of those components are released, because the SNAPSHOT versions of the site are erased when a proper release happens. The upside, though, is that it's all in the parent POM and none of the actual projects needs to care.</p> <p style="margin: 10px 0 0 0">Scott is going to look at how to do better longer term, perhaps by centralising what we mean in terms of version number by "LATEST" for each of these components, so that our existing CGI stuff and the Apache sitting in front of Nexus can both track releases, and the parent POM can then reference those. That probably needs a new ticket.</p> </td>
