People integrating Shib these days don't have this amount of knowledge under their belts sometimes so having a hint in context is useful (IMO).</p> <p style="margin: 10px 0 0 0">To be clear, the IdP version did not change, just the db underneath it and the drivers for Mysql have materially changed despite following exact same name conventions on the tar.gz but adding more classnames in the jar to pick up the old invocation. You wouldn't know this unless you crack open the jar.</p> <p style="margin: 10px 0 0 0">The point I'm making is that the examples in the shib wiki have been rock solid for years and worked right off the page and highly valued that and think it worthy to continue as such. With the bump to mysql 8.0.13 they no longer will if people install a contemporary OS. Having a hint in the config examples would be assistive on the examples on the page is all that may be beneficial here. </p> <p style="margin: 10px 0 0 0"> </p> </td>
