<td class="text-paragraph-pattern-container mobile-resize-text " style="padding: 0px; border-collapse: collapse; padding: 0 0 10px 0"> <p style="margin: 10px 0 0 0; margin-top: 0">I guess for the record (since Deny rules tend to be confusing at best), the way it's generally done to avoid them is to add conditions to the default release rule's PolicyRequirementRule that exempts the services that are blocked from the default rule.</p> <p style="margin: 10px 0 0 0">The "modern" way would be to add EntityAttributes to the SPs' metadata and add something to the default PolicyRequirementRule to check for that tag and apply the policy only if it's NOT present.</p> <p style="margin: 10px 0 0 0">The other way is to just spell out all the SPs to exempt with "NOT (Requester = X OR Requester = Y etc.)"</p> <p style="margin: 10px 0 0 0">The main advantage is that it makes your denials not specific to the actual attributes in the default rule. If you added an attribute to the default release set, you'd have to go touch ever SP policy that had the denial rules to potentially deny the additional attribute.</p> </td>
