</div> <p style="margin-top:0;margin-bottom:10px;; margin: 10px 0 0 0">There doesn't seem to be anything a deployer can do to suppress this message, in which case my prediction would be that it will cause a lot of people to consume a lot of time looking for ways to do so when they upgrade, in preparation for v4. They might spend a very long time looking before finding that this one is essentially an internal <em>aide memoire</em> they can't affect.</p> <p style="margin-top:0;margin-bottom:10px;; margin: 10px 0 0 0">I think all deprecation messages we issue should be actionable by deployers, and that we should remove this one before shipping v3.4. The fact that the method is itself deprecated in Java terms should be sufficient for our purposes.</p> </td>
