It could be implemented a lot of different ways, so it's an arbitrary decision to apply it uniformly to every individual result rather than as some higher level setting.</p> <p style="margin: 10px 0 0 0">It certainly runs afoul of the usual problems ForceAuthn has, like whether Kerberos qualifies as "actively authenticating" somebody. In practice both of these settings really mean "prove user presence" so Kerberos has to be disqualified.</p> <p style="margin: 10px 0 0 0">As a result I think it's necessary to implement this with some eye towards that issue as well and reuse the "supportsForcedAuthentication" setting to determine what to do in each case.</p> <p style="margin: 10px 0 0 0">SAML obviously doesn't have the feature but I think it's best to just add it to the AuthenticationContext as a generic option and handle it in the core logic that populates active results.</p> </td>
