Or are those names fundamentally prohibited from having hyphens? Can they have colons?</p> <p style="margin: 10px 0 0 0">If such syntax is legal, I think that kind of approach would avoid all the various issues with trying to use hand-crafted names for each project, such as based on the packages therein, where we might have issues like the api vs impl stuff and also that some projects might have multiple "root" packages in them and so forth.</p> <p style="margin: 10px 0 0 0">Also means we would be able to easily mechanically map module name to project and vice-versa.</p> <p style="margin: 10px 0 0 0">It also means potentially we could just have a single decl of the jar plugin up in the parent project(s) with config that used Maven property expressions. So there would be nothing to manage and new projects/modules would just get the right stuff automatically. Like:</p>
