<li>The Windows build for Idp 3.4 will ship with Jetty 3.4 (and procrun 1.1)</li>
<li>The build will ship with a properties (names) re-writer (<a href="https://issues.shibboleth.net/jira/browse/IDP-1299" title="And Task to rewrite property files" class="issue-link" data-issue-key="IDP-1299" style="color: #3b73af; text-decoration: none">IDP-1299</a>)</li>
<li>We want to use the Jetty distribution whereever possible (and using the property rewriter should allow this)</li>
<li>Where we introduce our own xml files we want to have a distringuished properties names. So <tt>idp.jetty....</tt> or <tt>idp...</tt> not <tt>jetty...</tt></li>
<li>With respect to SSL we want to consider whether their file is appropriate. If it isn't we need to do minimal surgery to it and keep the jetty property names (with a view to eventually removing our version).</li>
<li>We will continue to ship a deployment segment (<tt>idp.xml</tt> and at least for 3.4 it needs to be property driven (see below)</li>
</ul> <h2 style="margin: 10px 0 0 0; font-size: 20px; font-weight: normal; line-height: 1.500; margin: 40px 0 0 0"><a name="Guaranteedpropertydrvienfunctionality." style="color: #3b73af; text-decoration: none"></a>Guaranteed property-drvien functionality.</h2> <p style="margin: 10px 0 0 0">In order to maintain the compatibility guarantee under Windows, the functionality provided by the below properties (found in <tt>java-idp-jetty-base:src/main/resources/jetty-base/start.d/idp.ini</tt>) has to be changeable by property (although changed property names is allowable).</p>
