It’s a fairly long thread which gets bogged down into some discussions about code style but the tldr is</p>
<ol>
<li><tt>c:_0="foo"</tt> is sucky for deployers</li>
<li><tt>c:name="foo"</tt> is better for deployers but requires compiler help (debug in java7 -parameters in java8</li>
<li><tt>c:name="foo"</tt> adds the constructor parameter <b><em>NAME</em></b> to the contract, this is risky because one doesn't tend to think of changing a parameter name as changing an API</li>
</ol> <p style="margin: 10px 0 0 0">The result is this case. It makes it obvious what is going on. However it is currently cast in terms of "add the annotation to all our constructors" which was probably correct when it was entered (pre V3.0) but looks aggressive now that we are winding up to V4.</p> <h2 style="margin: 10px 0 0 0; font-size: 20px; font-weight: normal; line-height: 1.500; margin: 40px 0 0 0"><a name="RevisedProposal" style="color: #3b73af; text-decoration: none"></a>Revised Proposal</h2>
