Guava has similar method but only supports a 2 args and requires one to be non-null or it throws an NPE. </p> <p style="margin: 10px 0 0 0">It was definitely in use at some point but looks like that went away with some refactoring a couple of years ago, according to git -S. However, I have actually had it in mind that it might be useful to streamline some -Parameters resolver code, including some that I'm about to write.</p> <p style="margin: 10px 0 0 0">So I'd like to hold off just a little on that one. I'm also actually very curious what the compiler warning is all about. Will have to go and look it up. Was not aware in general that generics + varargs was an issue. Maybe there's some modified syntax that is more appropriate.</p> <p style="margin: 10px 0 0 0">I don't know anything about the history of the null-safe <tt>hashCode</tt> there, probably had just wrote for future use. Java 7+ <tt>java.util.Objects</tt> has an exactly equivalent method. So we can certainly get ride of that.</p> </td>
