<td class="text-paragraph-pattern-container mobile-resize-text " style="padding: 0px; border-collapse: collapse; padding: 0 0 10px 0"> <p style="margin: 10px 0 0 0; margin-top: 0">I opened this can or worms last week and decided to leave it as is, that is still my opinion.</p> <p style="margin: 10px 0 0 0">The reason is that in V4 we won't care about Java 7 and hence we should rip out all the java 7 code, so all that centralization of the API will do is make it easier in the future to find out which code to rip out, at the cost of working out which code we will need to rip out now.</p> <p style="margin: 10px 0 0 0">Most of the sensing is about the javascript version and that is a completely different story, one of the many things we need to decide on before we start on V4, and if we want to support Rhino we will need different tests.</p> <p style="margin: 10px 0 0 0">FWIW only: I think that doing anything which moves us down the V4 development track would be ill advised at this stage, we'll end up with a needless fork and future guddle to clean up</p> </td>
