<li>Branch <tt>maint-3</tt> is the v3 platform development branch, normally with <tt>3.xx.0-SNAPSHOT</tt> as its version. Periodic releases as <tt>3.xx.0</tt>.</li>
<li>Branch <tt>maint-3.11</tt> would be for a minor tweak required for a IdP patch release, for example, such as <tt>3.11.1</tt>, so its version number would normally be <tt>3.11.x-SNAPSHOT</tt> between releases. This isn't something we'd need very often as we can usually just override a dependency version in <tt>idp-parent</tt>, but we might require it if some tools also needed changing.</li>
