<p style="margin: 10px 0 0 0">The resolution on this yesterday was that it scared us too much to make mainline. I would write the code and make it available in the wiki (probably in an <tt>org,example</tt> namespace.</p>
<p style="margin: 10px 0 0 0">On some reflection this morning I'll propose a modification. I'll add the skeletal resource (so all the gubbins needed to implement <tt>spring.io.Resource</tt> and <tt>net.shibboleth.utilities.java.support.resource.Resource</tt> and make in configurable with an {java.lang.Runnable}}. That would called regularly be according to the configuration. </p>
<p style="margin: 10px 0 0 0">That much we can ship. We could even add a ScriptedRunnable if we wanted.</p>
<p style="margin: 10px 0 0 0">We could then put out code to do the obvious and add copious warning. But the key thing is that it would not be turned on by default and turning it out might require some thought.</p>
