<p style="margin: 10px 0 0 0">Addressing an issue raised during discussion of these changes, the long term need is for the deployer to have control over the RequestedPrincipalContext when the contents need to be user-dependent. With the change to support deriving the defaultAuthenticationMethods property at runtime, this change empowers a pluggable function providing that setting by moving the action that runs it from outside the authentication subflow into the middle of the subflow, after the session is restored, results extracted, and attributes resolved.</p>
<p style="margin: 10px 0 0 0">Only the SAML SSO profiles were calling the InitiailizeRequestedPrincipalContext action, and this change adds parity with the CAS login flow, which was a bug.</p>
<p style="margin: 10px 0 0 0">The SAML 2 SSO flow continues to pull RequestedAuthnContext content and populate this context earlier, so the InitiailizeRequestedPrincipalContext action was changed to preserve existing behavior: request message trumps profile setting, controllable with a property.</p>
<p style="margin: 10px 0 0 0">Review and testing demonstrates that no code is depending on the RequestedPrincipalContext until later in the authn subflow after the new location of the action.</p>
