<p style="margin: 10px 0 0 0">I should note that the behavior of the proxy feature in the CAS protocol has been discussed in recent years to simplify the mechanism by which a proxy-granting ticket is claimed. It's reasonable to imagine protocol changes which prevent disclosure of the PGT prior to successful authentication of the proxy callback endpoint. If that were to happen, then we could handle proxy-granting tickets in the same fashion as the others. Just noting for the sake of completeness (and so I don't forget).</p>
