<p style="margin: 10px 0 0 0">Two main tasks I think:</p>
<ul>
<li>
Documentation of the context tree state for authentication (some of this exists, but we haven't come up with a formal way of getting this documented)
</li>
<li>
Define an event to signal the top level flows to re-call the authn subflow using whatever the tree state is at that point
</li>
</ul>
<p style="margin: 10px 0 0 0">Controlling authentication method selection is done with the RequestedPrincipalContext, which includes a fairly extensible machine for applying arbitrary comparison operators to arbitrary Principal objects to determine suitability.</p>
<p style="margin: 10px 0 0 0">I think we also should have a way to drive the initial default population of that context dynamically instead of statically via profile config. Ties into the general problem of supporting those properties more dynamically, and I'm still thinking through ideas there.</p>
