<p style="margin: 10px 0 0 0">For the record, can you just confirm what exact version of the IdP, Java and OS you are using?</p>
<p style="margin: 10px 0 0 0">The caching stuff seems to work as expected and we don't see the ERROR log of "Non-ok status code..." from HTTPResource. So it's getting past that part in the call to <tt>super.getInputStream()</tt>. </p>
<p style="margin: 10px 0 0 0">So AFAICT the only 2 things that could possibly be throwing and falling into that catch block are:</p>

<p style="margin: 10px 0 0 0">Might be able to do some tests in isolation to rule out #1.</p>
