<p style="margin: 10px 0 0 0">Okay. I started with the past-tense "supported", but then decided to keep present-tense along with "success". I almost changed it back, but instead asked for feedback.</p>

<p style="margin: 10px 0 0 0">Well, no, I don't think so. We talked about this. That's where I started. To share a context between a subflow and its parent/calling flow, the context must be in conversation scope or "higher" (session or I guess global), but that means binding that context to the session (as an attribute). We wouldn't want to use conversation scope because we'd potentially store multiple copies of localStorage, hence my interest in session scoped beans. But we decided to do that (storing localStorage in the HTTP session as an attribute) manually rather than relying on Spring's session locking via mutex utility method + filter, which is what is used to store the PRC in the HTTP session (since it's conversation scope).</p>
<p style="margin: 10px 0 0 0">So, AFAIK, Web Flow input/output attributes are the way to share objects between a parent/calling flow and its subflow without interacting with the HTTP session. I liked the input/output attribute approach because we can build the local-storage-read and local-storage-write subflows, define the "API" in terms of input/output attributes, and then callers can be explicit about setting/getting the relevant property/method in the StorageService TBD.</p>
<p style="margin: 10px 0 0 0">The other approach, as I've mentioned, is a session-scoped StorageService + Spring model binding to communicate with the view-state, which would be less code and handle most of this for us automagically, I think.</p>
<p style="margin: 10px 0 0 0">> Are you going to just start fleshing out the logic in these views now?</p>
<p style="margin: 10px 0 0 0">The main thing I need to do is versioning for the -read flow, because that's where we wanted to be stingy with network resources. I also haven't thought much about "security" of the local storage subflows themselves, meaning encoding parameters or whatever OWASP (I guess) recommends.</p>
