<p>Apologies, my bad, wasn't searching deep enough for the <b>authentication</b> use.</p>
<p>I was thinking about the LDAP properties as something with replicated use for both authn and resolver - and so thought this is something that would need configuring to match the attributes used by the resolver.</p>
<p>For actual LDAP authentication only, do the attributes really matter? The sample set requested looks rather confusing for the purpose of authentication: cn,businessCategory,mail</p>
<p>Sorry, I was thinking of it as something that would get configured for the resolver in ldap.properties without having to touch the LDAP configuration in attribute-resolver.xml (even though a deployer does have to get hands very dirty with the file for defining attributes...)</p>
<p>So it might not be worth trying to get LDAP resolver configuration 100% driven from ldap.properties - at some point, the deployer will have to touch attribute-resolver.xml by hand anyway.</p>
<p>Wondering whether to put a note into the default config that contrary to other idp.authn.LDAP properties, this one is not replicated into the resolver? </p>
<p>Sorry, got confused over the purpose of this property....</p>
