<p>No it won't, I track changes that Scott makes to the Jetty description page and make them in here, I also nag people from time to time to review it. </p>
<p>Let's face, we may not like it but that directory tree is going to be used by probably more than 50% of the IdP installations out there so we <b>have</b> to make sure that it is correct for our use case (complete control of the Container). Remember also that as far as the Windows Installer (and indeed the ant one) is concerned this is a "do not touch this" directory (except for the properties file) so we can put whatever we want in there. I don't think that makes it bogus, I think it makes it very limited in scope. But when that scope hits a large proportion of our userbase I'm happy with that.</p>
<p>Sadly the boat has left for calling it something else (because the one file we guarantee to preserve is the property file). </p>
<p>OTOH, if someone wants to define the IdP as a module and rework that I'm cool with that - so long as we keep the properties..<br/>
Equally we have control of the ant installer so we can change where it lives in the distribution (harder to change where it goes in the installation because of backwards compatibility)</p></div>
