3) the fact that there is exactly 1 place in the entire codebase (outside of tests) where this is even called (in CertPathPKIXTrustEvaluator method above)</p>

<p>I'm inclined to say we just violate the policy and fix it.  This was simply a mistake, and <del>we have bigger fish to fry</del> larger quantities of tofu and seitan to saute.</p></div>
