<p>It generally is the case that when people are clueless, they turn everything up anyway, so the fact that DEBUG tends to be hard to pull specifics out of doesn't matter much because whatever level we logged something at, it would be hard to pull out.</p>

<p>In this specific case, I would say it depends who's checking the condition, and whether the case of no attribute coming back would ever be expected otherwise. If it's the thing logging that's checking the condition, then clearly it could adjust the log level used in that specific case if that was desired.</p></div>
