<p>Seems like we should be using SpringSupport.newContext() to create this context, no? That includes the support for injecting post processors of both types programmatically, and we can auto-inject the property replacement bean (shibboleth.PropertySourcesPlaceholderConfigurer) into them. That should get properties working fine.</p>
<p>The parent context thing is a tough one. That only works with services because the service beans implement ApplicationContextAware. Here there's no bean really. And the "current" context being parsed before it parses the springResources stuff isn't built yet, as I think Rod has told me before.</p></div>
