<p>All that the super method does is add the current bean definition to a Map<String,BeanDefinition> called "aliases" (as well as the bean definition to the map call "beanNames" and another called "beanDefinitions". </p>
<p>The wiring of the aliases into the Map<String,Bean> happens during refresh, which is after this (I was wrong about that earlier). I'd not say I understand the dance fully between names and aliases and definitions - because if I did I'd understand why the "don't allow alias" and "don;t allow override" setting don't fire (not that we'd want to generally use them I feel). However I feel relatively happy that the architecture of "acculumate maps and list of names during parsing and associate them with the actual bean during refresh" is not going to be changed in such a way as to make this stop working - and if it does we have that regression test.</p></div>
