Although I wasn't able to reproduce the issue with a very similar environment (same Oracle JDK under Ubuntu 14.04) my suspicion is that this is related to the bytecode changes in Java 8, which were not formally supported until Spring 4.0.4 (I think). MDA 0.8.0 used Spring 3.2.5.</p>
<p>Unless we can reproduce this, I think the best we can do is make sure we ask you to re-test for us when we have a release candidate for the next version of the MDA available (0.9.0). Because 0.9.0 is based on Spring 4, which fully supports Java 8, there is every chance that issues of this kind will have been resolved for us.</p></div>
