<p>So you have base (after removing <a href="file:" class="external-link">file:</a>) = /C:/path/flows and resource = C:/path/flows/flowtype/flow.xml</p>
<p>It doesn't see the former inside the latter so it punts to returning the whole path as the flow ID. The other hitch is slash differences. If the base uses backslashes and the resource uses forward slashes, that also prevents a match.</p>
<p>A workaround that seemed possible is to use the idp.home.raw variable I cooked up and to normalize slashes to forward slashes.</p>
<p>It's always been the impression to me that using forward slashes is the much better choice in Java. Rod, do you happen to recall specific instances where a backslash has been required?</p>
<p>I'm going to see about getting those Paths methods out of the testbed and see if it's possible to make things work without adding that leading slash, which might allow me to get rid of idp.home.raw and consolidate. I also still need to determine whether this trick doesn't break Unix.</p></div>
