<p>We've pretty much decided that the one starting with "During metadata loading KeyInfo information..." is not going to be done this way, in favor of having the MetadataCredentialResolver do the credential production but cache the creds directly on the relevant XMLObject.  Solves the problem just as effectively, but in a cleaner way.</p>

<p>"HTTP and File-backed HTTP provider will be merged in to one" implies that we were not going to favor the Resource-based metadata provider approach over the others.  If we're going to stick with the "monolithic" ones, then perhaps we should consider just ditching the Resource-based provider/resolver entirely, and avoid maintaining duplicative components. </p>

<p>As I noted in <a href="https://issues.shibboleth.net/jira/browse/IDP-299" title="Finish CompositeMetadataResolver and relocate to OpenSAML">IDP-299</a>, the one beginning "A check for multiple entity IDs,..." is implicitly at odds with the CompositeMetadataProvider, unless I'm missing something (which is entirely possible). We should decide whether it's viable to try and rationally support duplicate entityId's, as opposed to just logging and/or treating as an explicit error. </p></div>
