<p>I was trying to figure out what the purpose of this class was, vs the existing ChainingMetadataProvider. It seems that it's supposed to return all the resolveable metadata across all the providers, rather than just returning the first one. I think that would only happen though if you had 1) duplicate entityId's in the same metadata document 2) duplicate entityId's across providers/resolvers. </p>
<p>Are we going to try and support either of those cases in v3? <a href="https://issues.shibboleth.net/jira/browse/IDP-302" title="Verify and document proposed metadata provider work">IDP-302</a> has a (very old) description of metadata work, but one of the items implies that we check for duplicate entityId's, and either ignore or treat as an error.</p></div>
