I’ll take a look. I was wanting to leverage the getHttpClient and getHttpClientSecurityParameters of the IdP aware one but there’s actually very little code in their implementation.

Of course if they they want to start including beans which require more than net/shibboleth/idp/conf/http-client.xml the world becomes a bit funky (and by setting idp.home they get a whole bunch of cool stuff).
