I think one way or another, surfacing the plugin state per the supported state is essential, but also agree that it’s a little icky. Probably what I’d consider doing is filtering it by default but we haven’t done much with that layer. I can’t recall if the filtering of the metrics actually prevents resolving them or just returning them though.
