Oddly enough I don’t see any difference between V4 and V5.

Both of them declare the metric the same way

   <bean id="shibboleth.metrics.AttributeResolverGaugeSet"
       class="net.shibboleth.idp.attribute.resolver.impl.AttributeResolverServiceGaugeSet" lazy-init="true"
       c:metricName="attribute.resolver"
       p:service-ref="shibboleth.AttributeResolverService" />

and yet in V4 the metric ends up being called net.shibboleth.idp.attribute.resolver whereas V5 calls it attribute.resolver

Anyone got any hints or should I fire up a V4 testbed and poke
