Hi Scott Cantor ( https://shibboleth.atlassian.net/secure/ViewProfile.jspa?accountId=557058%3A5b78efc9-1379-42cc-a3f6-56c6ea3a0007 ) and John W. O'Brien ( https://shibboleth.atlassian.net/secure/ViewProfile.jspa?accountId=60ddbd62285656006a902e66 )
In my scenario, I don't need a persistent session, but I have to be able to:

* Start authentication on an instance (balanced)
* At the selection of the Idp I will be redirecting on its login page
* I will return to one of the balanced instances to conclude SAML authentication (certainly not the one in point 1)
* When the authentication process is complete, I use the attributes to create the application session and simultaneously logout Shibboleth in the background

If I arrived in point 3 without my instances having active the sessioncache of Type "Memcached" (which seemed to me the only functioning in my case) it is almost certain that I will get a message with "unknown session id" (or something Similar) and authentication cannot be processed except from the instance that had started the process.

Would you have suggestions in this sense?
Thanks in advance (sorry for my english)
