There is no java-support by that version, it won't exist. 8.x is the last version branch that will exist in that form, it’s been refactored into a new multi-module java-shib-shared project with different coordinates.

I moved the issue over but now I suspect in fact the issue is just that the “bug” exists on the main branch of java-support, and that branch in effect is EOL. So…that’s the real answer. If it broke, that’s actually good, since it would prevent any use of code we’ve replaced.

To be clear, absolutely nobody but consumers of OpenSAML should be using this code. And OpenSAML 5.x (the main branch) has already been refactored to use java-shib-shared.
